A Save the Date Video on Lake Como
Instead of a printed card, this couple invited their guests to their wedding at Villa Erba with a short film shot on Lake Como. An engagement film that becomes a save the date: a few seconds of cinema that tell guests where the celebration will take place and give them a first taste of the atmosphere.
The Film
The story follows the couple on board a red vintage convertible, driving along the lakeside roads and through the streets of the villages on the water, among smiles, waves and glances. Drone shots show the lake and the mountains from above, before the film moves to an elegant hotel suite, with an “Engaged” cake, a toast and a heart drawn with lipstick on the mirror.
The film ends with the date of the wedding over an aerial view of the lake, ready to be shared with family and friends by message, email or social media.
Why a Save the Date Video
A save the date video is a fun and original way to announce your wedding, especially for a destination wedding in Italy: it shows your guests the place they will travel to and builds the excitement months before the big day. We can film it during an engagement session on Lake Como, or in the days before the wedding, and deliver a short version ready for social media.
