An Indian Wedding on the Sorrento Coast
Yesha and Charmin chose the Sorrento Coast, at the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, for their Indian wedding in Italy. They celebrated at Villa Angelina, a venue perched on the cliffs above the Bay of Naples, with Capri and Vesuvius on the horizon. The wedding was planned by Distinctive Italy Weddings.
The Wedding Day
The film opens at dawn over the gulf, then moves to the bride’s preparations: the red lehenga, the jewellery and the henna. The baraat arrives to the beat of the dhol, with the groom riding in a classic white convertible and the guests dancing around him. Yesha and Charmin meet for their first look on a terrace over the sea, before the ceremony under a mandap of flowers facing the bay. After the ceremony come the garlands, the colours and the dancing, and the evening ends with a party under the lights that lasts until late at night.
